Temperature spike today caused some unexpected visitors for the middle of January. Found this window gnat (I think) on my way in the house after work today. Also been anxious to try out the new sizes.

One of us has the ID wrong- not the same as my window gnats- they don't have the spiky legs but there are lots of different Winter midges around (and I may well be wrong)

Brian--did a little more searching aroung and I think this is a fungus gnat, not a window gnat. Identified using this link: http://bugguide.net/node/view/42117

It does have the more spikey legs and is local to this area. Thanks for pointing this out.
