I've talked to both Simons and Camera Canada, and they said they've recieved a couple shipments each already. However, I placed a pre-order back at the end of August with CC, and they said they've sold them all. They dont really want to say where I am in line.
So, just wondering who out there in the Great White North has one of these.
And if so, from where did you buy?
TIA

For what it's, the last time I spoke to Henry's (2 weeks ago) they had 168 pre-orders (total in Canada) and expected 400 units from Canon. The local shops did get pre-order shipments last week.
Not sure it helps. I will be placing an order with them in a couple of weeks.

Thankyou.
How is Henry's to deal with?
Any problems with returns/exchanges?

I've dealt with Henry's a lot .. not the cheapest, but their customer service is good. I don't worry about sending stuff back under warranty as I have a Canon repair centre here in town .. just drop it off and pick it up repaired (I've only had to do that once with Canon kit .. had to have a P&S recalibrated for color). Vistek are also good.

Thanks 10.
Yes, you are lucky to have a Canon Depot right in town! Nice!
I'm now debating whether or not to cancel my order from Camera Canada and ordering from Henry's. I could just keep the order from both, but I would just be worried that they both might ship at the same time.
I found a place in BC called www.fotofun.net that has 2 in stock, but I'm a little worried about their service if say, I get one that's knockered right out of the box.

Drisley, Henry's has pretty good service and is a very good rep as Southern Ontario's most established Camera store. Henry's prices are a borderline ripoff, but some people seem to not care about overpaying.
Other then that, they have 13-14 stores and pretty much all the equipment you need. Other then that we have Vistek downtown who is a more pro oriented store with slightly better prices.
Other then that, I have seen a good sale or two at Henry's where I got some stuff.
Cheers.

Service is critical. I like Henry's but it is because of 1 or 2 sales people I deal with regularly. They have been great. I have upgraded 4 times (which is possible within 30 days) and no problems.
Never used their servicing department but no complaints at all with everything else. Although, there are some bad sales people. Same goes for anywhere I guess.

Hey Persian-Rice, happy about JV showing up for the last few races? Should help television ratings a bit.

You could probably hear me cheering anywhere within a 20 Km radius.
The ended up going out like some insane guy with a Renault pit shirt, Renault pit shorts, my Renault Cap and my Renault backpack............I thought my giant flag would be overkill lol.
Talk about getting funny looks.
Now my two favourite drivers are driving for my favourite team, even if its only for 3 races.
I haven't missed a race, qualifying or even practice session since early last year, so they know they can count on me for ratings and ticket sales when they come to Montreal. LOL back on topic
