Where do you all go to practice some shots, like what kind of places? I want to really get back full swing with learning more of my camera and I went to a park today but that was boring. I need some suggestions on what to shoot, my town is so boring.

I like to bring up Google Earth and pick a spot that looks like it might be interesting. It's amazing how many small lakes and scenic back roads are just outside of most cities.
I believe you are pretty close to the desert in Lancaster. If you are interested in landscapes, you should be able to get some nice shots out there.

Thanks Mark, I normally get into my car and just drive around looking for things to shoot but im running out of ideas. I really like to find old abandoned cars but I think I found them all in my area, lol. I have never heard of google earth but i'll check it out now,

Urban settings (i.e. downtown, industrial areas, railyards, salvage yards, alleys, open cemetaries, abandoned structures, etc) are all good. I find places like these have so many potential subjects (with a good imagination/eye) and possibilities of unique compositions.
A lot depends on what you want to take pictures of.

Go into town at dusk, shoot then and into early evening.
Drive to absolutely nowhere in particular, stop to shoot what you find interesting.
Go to a rail yard.
Go to a local show (bar, band would do) and shoot the band; you'll also end up shooting people just hanging around.
...few ideas, hope it helps.

Ah, you're near LA?
Go to the tarpits, go to Hollywood Blvd, but shoot the freaky people -- To do that, hold the camera at your hip and click away as you pass or shoot them from the other side of the street.
Get to the Santa Monica area, shoot the pier people, catch that downtown at sunset, shoot towards the beach from up the street. Then, catch a great meal which, hopefully, someone else is paying for.
Looked at Google Earth -- You have a H.S. there, so you can check with the administration, shoot some youth sports as well.
(When you can, shoot Death Valley, too -- much more interesting than it sounds!)

Getty is very photo friendly and a good place to practice. So is Huntington Library. Hollywood is nice as well.

I need some suggestions on what to shoot,... Well, creativity has to start somewhere? Shoot something you like. But you'll probably learn more by shooting something you've never shot before & trying to make it look good or tell a story.
My solution was A walk by the river (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?p=2167717)
Good pics like a diamond in the rough/ photographers block?
