Hello all, My Nephew is playing in his senior yr of HS BB. I thought it would be fun to try and get some shots of him when they come to play our local HS in early Feb. I have gotten clearance and a presspass from the local head coach (good to have friends LOL)

Anyway, I have never shot sports before, I know my camera pretty well and you can see my equipment in my sig. However was looking for any tips when shooting in a gym. Where do you stand, best lens etc.

I would guess flash is out of the question as it might disturb the players so do you just bump up the ISO and let her rip as best as possible? Not looking to make a living or get into this full time but thought it would be fun since I am a sports junkie and my sister wants pics of her son.

Thanks for any advice

Greg

Greg,

The Search Tool is your friend. This time of year, there are a TON of posts asking and answering the very questions you ask - some of them even on the first page of this forum.

Look around, then come back if you have any other questions.

My bad, I called myself looking for anything BB related on the homepage regarding techniques and just overlooked that thread, some good advice in there. Thanks. You may now return to regularly scheduled game. ;)

Thanks
Greg
