diy question re battery packs

I'm wondering if I can power two flashes off of the same diy battery pack with 'C' cells?
Has anyone tried this?

Driving two of anything from the same power source is merely dividing the max delivery rate in half. So if something required 5 sec. recycle by itself, it might need 10 sec. to recycle simply because the power source is incapable of the amperage demand from two units at once! Larger batteries simply provide more total amp-hours, not more watts of output.

So than yes but with longer recycle times. Probably not worth it than. Maybe I'll just use two separate 'aa' packs instead to keep size down.
