I have a weird situation, I was approached by a large multi-national company looking to use my pictures for brochures and also for some displays at a national industry conference, they are looking at getting roughly 30 of my pictures and talked about getting the sole rights. What should I charge? because of course they are asking me what I want to be paid first before making an offer. I am new to this and have no clue. The pictures they are wanting are some of my favorites in my portfolio. I do not want to insult them with a large price but I don't want them getting a steal from me either. PLEASE HELP!

Ok thanks for the response, can someone give me a number I am not going to buy software that tells me what I should charge. This company is large and may likely use these pictures for banners and brochures I imagine, Anyone have a price for the CD with all 30-40 images on it? I personally think $200 is not enough but I think $5000 is. Im basically looking for someone whose done something similar....

Andy-

You can setup a free account at gettyimages.com that will allow you to calculate fees to many types of use, including this. Even if you have licensed pictures for sole or exclusive use, you can still reserve rights to use in your portfolio and advertising.
