waterdrop!!

My first attempt at a waterdrop.

I took about 30 shots and only 3 or so came out decent. Everything else was a blur.

Pics were taken with Canon XT with 18-55 lens kit with tripod.

Any tips on taking waterdrops would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It is a good start, the top of the drop is soft, maybe a smaller apature for more DOF. I have not perfected these yet, I am hoping for better shots next time, just keep trying.

Agree with above - either try a smaller aperture or perhaps a lower shooting angle if possible. The latter would also help the use of some coloured backgrounds to get some refraction
