Hi,
I'd like to expand my portfolio with more people shots. The thing is, if I do a TFP thing, how many pics should I really offer the person? Do I offer him/her printed pics or a CD?
Any ideas?

always offer prints, if he/she prints her own, and use high street printing service instead of pro lab, prints might turn out different and it'll look bad on you.
10 prints should be fine, best to ask him/her if they are happy with number of prints supplied.

An additional question, what size should the prints be printed at?
im thinking 5x7's is this reasonable / norm

A model will probably prefer at least 8X10". Ask what they need/want & go from there.
BTW, TFP is used mainly on the web. Where commercial and editorial photographers work it is called free testing. We used to call them "Comps", for the composite they would print to distribute to the agencies.
Forget the term TFP & move yourself "above the line"! ;)

Thanks Photoguy,
Your advice is always helpful. I managed to get myself two shoots on with some intermediate models for comps (late this year).
BTW, does comps still apply for Cd as well as print?

Probably. It's just short for "shots for the composite".
