Chicago POTN group- Oak Brook Seminar on March 30th

Seems like a few of us have taken advantage of the $19 Ed Pierce seminar that was posted in the Lighting forum. I know Franko515, Ayman86, Stoph, and Dannosix are signed up, as I am also. I may be bringing a NOINK friend also, which makes 6 of us. The seminar starts at 12:30 for marketplace, and 1:30 for more meaty content. There might be time to meet either for a late breakfast or dinner following the seminar. I know it's a Sunday, and folks may want to get back home.

Is there any interest in getting together before or after? It's still way early to plan anything definite, but I thought I'd put the idea out there.

Heck, if we have space somewhere I could even bring my lights & crap and ya'll could play around with it. There's enough of us we could all pitch in and get a room.

I am going to book a room at the Doubletree, where the seminar is being held (I have to call to make sure there is availablity on the 30th of March).

Curtis, we can most certainly have a flash party afterwards in my room (wheather it be the DoubleTree or close by). I will make sure to get a extra big room, so we can have space :D

I have been thinking of getting together a Strobist Meet for Chicago, would anyone be interested?

For those interested chime in to thread in the link below. This is just to get a feel of the number of people interested as there is alot involved in hosting one of these meets.

We should start to come up with some ideas on where/when to meet. I don't know the area, so anyone else that does have suggestions?

The show begins at 12:30. Maybe we could meet for breakfast and do some shooting before hand. The seminar is not far from Calumet Photo and they are open on Sunday...It's also close to Oakbrook Center which is a huge shopping center, if anyone is interested. Is there still a party planned after?? Mike??;)

Depends on whats going on Ed, I'd like to come down for the weekend but depends on if my buddy is in Buffalo Grove that weekend so I'll have a place to stay....As far as the after party, its a Sunday so I'd have to take Monday off and I'm out of vacation time until July so we'll just have to see what things look like as we get closer to the 30th.
