I have a 350D that I use in manual mode with a 433MHz RF-604 to a studio flash Proline DE 300 B from Falcon eyes.

As always I set at 1/125 always worked fine.

Now a day before a big shoot I have a sync problem - i.e. shutter across the image.

All I have different to normal was to use a Canon Speedlite 430 EX on the camera and now the Sync seems to be out - can I do anything about this manually.

The camera works fine with the internal flash on automatic...

Advise most appreciated,

thanks

Mark

Hi, just put the speedlite back on the camera and went into highspeed sync then back out of it. Plugged back up to the studio flash and it appears to have solved the problem. Does the flash leave its last settings in the camera???

Love some clarification on this as it is very strange.

Rgds

It's not related to high speed sync.

The problem is in the radio set. I'm not familiar with the model you have, but you might try replacing the batteries.

Luckily for me Curtis got to be Captain Obvious on this one but, yeah, the receiver has to have a relatively fresh battery of high quality to work well with higher sync speeds.
