If you're thinking of buying a Sekonic light meter with built in Pocket Wizard radio transmitter capability and a WhiBal card for custom white balance then you might want to check out the new Apple iPhone Photographers Edition first.
Apple got together with Sekonic, PocketWizard, SanDisk and WhiBal to develop the newest and coolest version of the iPhone. The iPhone Photographers Edition has all the functionality of a Sekonic L-758DR with custom profiling, and includes onboard Pocket Wizard transmitter and a WhiBal card right on the back of the phone. Data, music, images and profiles can be stored on the supplied 64GB Compact Flash card. Apple has also added a comprehensive depth of field calculator to round out the new iPhone Photographers Edition.
It doesn't get any cooler than that.
The iPhone Photographers Edition should be available in February and although the official price has not been announced, rumors are that the 500GB version will sell for around $1,499.

They take a phone without Voice Dialing and turn it into a light meter first?! Quick jerking our chains...it doesn't even have a DOF calculator or Hyperfocal Distance calculator!
[edit] oh, I just noticed the DOF program button!

Excellent find Robert, I wonder how accurate / consistent it is?
Could be a problem spot metering ;)

Hi Wilt,
The hour I spent in Photoshop was actually while I was relaxing and taking a break. It was pretty mindless throwing that together. I should have been working but I chose to slack and play with my new Wacom tablet, which I absolutely love. I still need to get back to work but fortunately I work for myself and can't get in trouble. :D

I'm not a huge fan of the I phone, mainly because I just think it's a neat toy rather than a phone, but, if that edition really existed, I might have to reconsider. Honestly, how handy would that thing be? Then again, for $1500, I could buy all of the other stuff and have change, and no new cellular bill ever month.

It could get confusing, I've just been trying to dial out on my Sekonic

I didn't give it too much thought. Just seemed like a funny idea that would get a laugh once people realized it couldn't be real.

  Funny thing is I got an iPhone and a Sekonic L358 for Christmas. Maybe I'll try smashing the two together and see if I get what's pictured in the OP.

I'm surprised no one noticed the omission of a jog wheel of any kind. I just couldn't think of a clever way to work it in. :D

There's a virtual jog wheel....it's rendered and manipulated via the touch screen :D

Don't worry... Nokia will release a similar phone/light meter combo for half the price but it won't be released in the USA for 5 more years...:D

Considering Apple's product history, it's actually believable.

Actually, you blew it big time when you said it'd have a 64GB SanDisk CF card, and cemented the hoax status when you added the 500 GB model. The WhiBal card was a bad call too - shoulda been an ExpoDisc.
