Pekka, I have a two requests that I would LOVE to see implemented. I use EE a lot. I have a large gallery and am very happy with the scripts. Because I have spent a lot of time using the scripts, I have found some things that would make the program a lot easier to use. These suggestions may not be appreciated by those who don't use the program much, but if you do a lot of maintenence work on your database I think they will be a boon.

1) A easy way to edit / view photodata across a gallery. The EDITOR_photo.php script gives you the ability to edit all the data in a photo record, but lets say you want to check/edit all the "free text" or "meta keyword" fields in a gallery. The only way to do this now is to look at each photo individually in the photo editor script. This can take a long time to go from image to image. How about a page that shows for any given gallery, thumbs down the left side, and one or two fields of your choice. ( for me it would be free text and meta keyword ) where you could scroll through the images, type all the text in all the fields you want then hit one button on the bottom to save all the changes. I have been getting a lot of hits from search engines. I am assuming it is because of the meta keywords, and like putting them in for my images. It would be great to be able to do a handful at a time.

2) A related issue, but different. ( and easier to implement ) Create a "Save and Next" and a "Save and Prior" button in the photo editor. To edit a bunch of photos in a gallery is a PITA. This wouldn't be as easy a view like i describe above to change photos, but would be a big step above what is done now. With this change, you could enter the photo editor, either at the last or first image of the gallery. Make changes, hit one button and be looking at the next image. Click through the gallery quickly to check and edit your data.

Thanks Pekka, first I want to mention to you that I am not unhappy at all, but find some of the UI elements could use a little change in the human engineering department. Of course, it could be my style of using the software that is inconvenient, rather than the other way around.

To everyone else. I hope you all realize how great we have it with Pekka. I don't ever remember him putting the screws to us for donations, fees, etc. I would like to encourage everyone to register / license their software ( I did a long time ago ) and not forget the work that Pekka does on a continuing basis. I don't know of any other software that is supported as well, with no promise of remuneration. In the past, when Pekka has helped me, I have thanked him by sending him what amounts to the cost of a few beers that I hope he enjoyed on my dime. I hope I am not alone in this action. Pekka may not ask for payment, but that doesn't mean he doesn't appreciate it.
