My brother is looking to buy a PS canon for all-around use and he found this card on the net and is wanting opinions on it. I haven't dealt with SDs card so I can't say for sure but I would love any opinions on these cards with people who have. If you can help, I would appreciate it...thanks

I would stick with a name brand. I prefer Sandisk. Also I have never bought the brand your looking at so can't say good or bad. And nothing in my house uses SD.

You can get 4GB for $35 at Circuit City or Best Buy often, even staples. And those high speeds on SD cards for a P&S are only going to help with transfer speeds and even that doesn't take long with JPEGs.

My brother read that you need a high speed card to record video though...

Nope. If you calculate out the data for video, it's somewhat less than 1.5 fps on a 6 MP camera. 640x480 pixels x 30 fps. Newer P&S have more than 5 MP and also do more than 1.5 fps in continuous.
