Well there dosn't seem to be a great deal of difference in price now between the new 1DMK2 and a 1DS. What should I do. I can afford either. Don't ya just love the big wright off's!
I shoot sports, fashion, actually everything except weddings. Any advice would help. I don't know much about the 1Ds.
thanks Bill

do you need full frame ?
I think the 1DmkII is more appropriate for sports. (faster). I think the 1Ds is more of a studio camera.

I don't do a lot of studio work, some though. I shoot a 10D now and the xtra 60% is sweet. Though I do get killed shooting wide angle work. I promised my 10D to someone when I upgrade. Kinda wish I could keep it now. Just shot three days of fashion with it. Worked great, awesome DOF. Just need a bit more resoulition for some of my clients.

1D MK II would be all-round camera if you don't require: a)Full Frame b)Extra large prints.

P.S E-TTL II would be a bonus and low noise performance in low light, not to mention 8fps in sports

i think you'd be better off with the 1dMKII.

The 1Ds is clearly NOT a sports camera, the 1dMKII is, it is also a fantastic studio camera...what else do ya need
