Playing around with the grayscale and a hint of sepia with a shot I took yesterday.
Does it work?

Does not do a lot for me. Seems a little soft and the highlights in the windows are distracting. The contrast range is a little to great.

I must disagree with scorpio. I like the image, the conversion and the sepia tone.
Esp. like the surreal glow that comes through the window. My only compliant is the glare from the pew backs.

I like it very much - I like the elements that you have included in the frame and also the sepia/B&W..but why would you chose to post it crooked?
You may have lucked out but if the light was not reflecting off the pew tops, it would not have been as effective/interesting...so I guess none of us agree :) I also find the lighting quite realistic esp. what you would expect in a church window.

I'm not sure what you mean by crocked spike?

 Bad spelling...I put that all wrong...it isn't crocked or crooked.
I should have said - Perspective Distortion
Check the corner of walls on the left and the right side of the window. You might want to straighten them with cropping PP - might be better - dunno.

Hmm, I'm not very good at photos like this, so I try to stay away from them. It seems pretty hard for me to do shots like this because as you can see, your window is overexposed and has a lot of light, you can barely see it, yet the chairs/indoor are dark and a little bland. If It was me, I would get a tripod, and a remote, and HDR it, and edit it to its all leveled, doesn't have to look fake, you can make it look very real with HDR editing. I think :D

I htink it mooks much more "heavenly;)" if you play the light from the window up? Seems to give it a glow, instead of shying away from it......JMO.....
