From what I can gather, we *may* not see a new Canon 5DMarkII announced at PMA, but at Photokina. Rumored specs sound impressive, 16 megapixels, improved weather/dust sealing, 14 bit Risc processor, 4-5 FPS. Price point, probably around $3000.
Also there are rumors of an Xti replacement, and a Canon 7D, priced lower than the Canon 5D MarkII, at around $2000.
This I find a bit harder to believe. Wouldn't such a model cut into the 5D MarkII sales, assuming the specs were between the current 5D and the upcoming 5D MarkII (13-14 megapixels)
I feel more confident about the Xti replacement and the 5D MarkII (or whatever it's called). I'm pretty sure we at least see these...announced in 2008. The question is, at PMA or this fall at Photokina? A very reliable source, has told me..this fall. I'll see how good this source is, within a couple of weeks.:)
