Just playing around with the 100mm macro...

I have no idea what this guy's name is, all I know is that he's got a very cool straw to drink with.

Edit: Someone identified this as a Skipper Butterfly (http://pick4.pick.uga.edu/mp/20q?act=x_ant&path=Insecta/Lepidoptera/Hesperiidae/Polites/sonora&name=Polites+sonora&xml=Butterflies&easy_na me=Sonora+Skipper&authority=(Scudder),+1872&common _name=Sonoran+Skipper;+Western+Long+Dash)

Located it at this site: http://pick4.pick.uga.edu/mp/20q

Nice shot, In the UK I would call that a Skipper butterfly they have a habit of folding their upper wing like a delta shape.

just showing this Lazy.

they all can look so alike in ways . I think you mentioned earlier that it might be a moth

no harm done in showing this anyway
( what I thought it may be)

all I do know, for sure .. is that it is one beautiful beautiful shot you took

thanks

see what you think

edit, a little later
ps
I see them together ..more or less.. on the forum page now
and the skipper description (and picture... a little) 'sounds' more like yours

your own photograph is much much much better though

edit again
looking at that skipper picture you added on in the url
it's a much slimmer butterfly then your picture
or 'something' about it :?
