How do you photograph snowflakes?

Set up flash(es), exposure, MF and shoot?

Like individual flakes, or big clumps falling? For an individual flake, you'd need a microscope.....and a cold one at that!

Not down to a macro (a flake) -- I'm guessing I might get something simply cool with a 70-200 + flashes.

I have a 580 + 430. Just curious.

You don't really give much detail but a good tip for shooting snow is to push the camera 1-2 stops over the meter reading. Otherwise the snow will be metered as gray. :)
