Does this accessoire really help to improve the viewfinder? Any experience with it on a 10D?

Thanks
J.

It stops your nose from banging into the LCD screen all the time, but it tends to drop off occasionaly (not your nose, the extender ;) ) .

I like it but I wouldn't say it is essential. More a comfort thing than anything else.

I used one on my 10D until I recently moved it to my new 20D. :)

As stated, it means that you aren't pushing your nose into the camera. This is particularly beneficial to me as I use only me left eye.

It doesn't fit perfectly on most 10Ds, which is strange. :? But mine never fell off, except the time that I DROPPED the 10D!

I use one because I wear eyeglasses. I have set the * key for "Lock AF" using a custom function. I find that without it, my thumb always contacts my eyeglasses and smudges it.

The downside is that this accessory WILL make your viewfinder smaller. The 10D viewfinder is small enough as it is. This is bad enough that I sometimes find it difficult to frame the image properly (I tend to frame my images very tightly).

I also use one (and wouldn't be without it) because I wear glasses. I find the smaller image easier to view (maybe beacuse my glasses help me see longer distances)

I've worn glasses all my life and I've never needed it. But, each to their own.
