Chicago Strobist Meet

I have really been tossing around the idea of a Strobist Meet for Chicago, how many would be interested in something like that?

For those not familiar with Strobist, the site is HERE (http://strobist.blogspot.com/)

This is just to get a feel for the number of folks interested in the meet.

How would you organize/promote this? Would you use the Strobist Flickr group?

Yes, I would advertise it there. Of course here too, just wanted to see how many here have interest first. Im sure there are many strobist in Chicagoland area, just wanted to see how many of my buddies would attend ;)

I haven't spent ANY time on strobist. It's blocked from work, and I spend enough time here there's nothing left for any other forum. I'd be interested in getting together though; I'm sure I'd learn something.

I have a never played with strobes before (I've read the site a few times). If that is fine, I am interested in meeting up (pending the date). :)

Time permitting, I'm in. Let me know what type of location, I might be able to work with a spot or two depending on the time and day of the week. And for disclosure purposes, I browse strobist occasionally but haven't spent significant time there.

Hey Chris, no date yet. I havent even started asking over at the Strobist forum yet. Just checkin here first. Maybe we all can come up with a date that will suit everyone in the Chicago area who is a P.O.T.N. member.

Depending on when, I might even be interested. I'll be back up in Chicago in the near future but my dates aren't solid yet. I MIGHT be able to plan that trip around a proposed meet-up.
