Filter for the 70-200 f/4. Suggestions?

First of all, I'm aware that many of you are anti-filter, and that's cool. But I'm planning on some situations where the hood wouldn't always protect the front element (branches and such), and as an amateur on a budget I'm very protective of my $600 lens.

So, what's a good protection filter for the 70-200 f/4? Would something like this be good?

I have this one http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=168214&is=REG on my 70-200mm f4/L. I think it's worth spending a little extra on the filter after you've spent all that money on the glass in the first place.
