1 doesn't do much for me sorry.
2 on the other hand I think is excellent. perfect exposure and the editing you have done really suits him.
I also think 3 would be a lot better if your father was looking at the camera. but it's still a good shot.
oh and I really like the way you have edited these.

1 - I don't really like the background. The idea has potential, but I feel that the photo should be leading me somewhere. It doesn't.
2 - Again the background doesn't do it for me, but it's out of the way for this shot. A tighter crop might make the image more compelling. Regardless, it's an excellent portrait and I love the high contrast PP.
3 - I really like this one. I love the pensive expression and the lighting is excellent. I love love love the lighting on the background and how it gives a clear, contrasty separation from the subject. PP gives some pop and the BW conversion is wonderful. Only nit for me would be the hotspot on the forehead but even that is minor. Excellent photo.

I love #3 and i love the fact that your father is not looking at the camera! Great processing! What processing did you do?

#3.........I like the processing in 1, and the lighting in 2 and 3 is just this side of hot.....but #3 wins the series.
