What do you think the chances of a MK3N announcement would be on the 24th?

is ZERO PERCENT a good answer?
[Edit] Sorry it's just this is so far out of my price range that It would be useless information to me, except to make my noink user associate, feel like he made a bad decision. :)

I ended up getting a Mk3, so hopefully no N version any time soon.
I talked to a camera store owner today about the upcoming show on the 24th.
He said the chances of a new 5D announcement is slim to none.
He figures that it will be mainly point and shoots, and an entry level DSLR.

1d3n should appear as usual around July this year, following the old pattern, but I have no idea if the Beijing Olympics would affect this.

Looking at their past trend, I wouldn't think 1DMK3N would be announced until July 2008.

I doubt that a 1DmkIIIN gets announced while Canon is addressing the current 1DmkIII's under recall.

Where does the assumption that there will be an "N" version of any Canon DSLR actually come from?
Only the 1DMK2 has so far had an N update, so there's hardly a precedent for it..

Why would you need an "N" version.. You have a FF and crop version ???

I would expect to see things added to the N like improved LCD, with 3x the resolution to compete with the new nikons, and maybe AF ability in Live View. And perhaps fixed AF if there are in fact still problems.
