There may be some mysterious "Title Fairy" but I think all the Mods have the ability as well. Sometimes people's titles just change a little to quickly after something has been said.
I wonder if there is a TF at all really. Maybe the Mods just want us to believe so we don't pester them... Imagine how many more PMs they would get it the truth came out.
I smell conspiracy!

I think it's way harder to get to cream of the crop untouched than get a good custom title.

I recently started posting after some years in hiatus. Pretty quickly I got my title, after I noted that I joined on April 1, 2001. In a thread on this forum it was noted that I was the second "oldest" member still active here on POTN. Second to the founder, Pekka!
I was hoping for a tag line a little more profound, but I'll take POTN's April Fool as loving acknowledgment of my tenure here.
As to other's tag lines...some are truly quaint.

If the OP of this thread didn't get a title put on by doing this, then there is no TF.You fail to understand the TF's MO - the more you try for one, the less likely you are to get one. It's when you stop trying and say (or do) something REALLY stupid that you get nailed. Ask MDJAK. Ask LightRules.

Maybe you should buy some sheep repellent, Sam? ;)
Or you could make them jam buddies and leave a long trail leading them to a very nice corral with a beautiful pasture. Maybe if you make them happy they'll stay away.

Wuzzi, be careful, Sam's fibbing a bit here - what really happened is he mistook the spray can of Lanolin for deodorant, and walked around all day attracting every sheep within miles looking for love!

LOL Sam...

Please do not think badly of me, but one of my in-laws married a kiwi and lives in NZ, scary stuff what they get up to over there in the Boon Docks when they think nobody is looking!

And still the sheep issues...
I was surprised to see a zombie thread, but not terribly so - it seems like they keep threads going forever on this forum anyhow.
