Shot with a 40D, 24-70L. Four 15-second exposures at f8, ISO 200 w/ highlight tone priority on.

Thanks! I really love how the 40D handles metering, it's light years better than my old Digital Rebel.

That's really nice. Bet it looks awesome full res. Have you considered cloning out the branch in the upper left? Probably could easiy be replaced with more night sky texture. Cool shot.

Yeah, I'm going to play around with that when I have a little more time. This was just to see what it'd look like; I just got the 40D last night. :D

Funny you mention that... there's a plaque at the site where the James River bends 90º and the original founder of the city was reminded of the view of the Thames River at Richmond, thus giving the city it's name. I should do a daytime shot from that site.
