Visiting my folks today and my dad gave me a Sigma flash he had and said I could have it if it worked on my camera. He has a film Nikon SLR he'd been using it on. I stuck it on my camera out of curiousity, and sure enough it actually fired. Now my question is, is there anyway to make the camera actually control the intensity of the firing and such? The model number is EF-430ST, he didn't have any boxes or manuals or anything.

Do you have any idea what the trigger voltage is on that thing?

I would never attach a flash unit to my EOS digital camera without knowing the voltage in advance!
