I have seen the magazine "PhotoPlus" advertised here and wondered if any members have any comments to make about the publication. I presume that it is mainly available in the UK. Is the content useful and interesting ?

I have every issue some good info and tips for me as a newbie the only let down it that the free DVD with hints and tips is only for Photoshop which not everybody owns. The wife uses PaintShopPro but still a good read.

I like it too and I would love to get the 1st issue. I've been told by the publisher that it was sold out and therefore I ask you guys - if anybody would like to sell me their issue - I'm happy to buy it.
Thanks, Anke

My only problem with this mag is that all the PP is aimed at PhotoShop.

I ran across PhotoPlus Magazine a few months ago and liked it so much that I found myself going to Barnes & Noble every month to get the latest issue. Well, now I'm an overseas subscriber, which I've never done before, and I received issue #11 in the mail today! The reading is detailed and each article is written in such a way that even I can understand it (with the exception of a few British slang words that I need to look up -). Every month, the included disc comes with a wealth of tutorials and additional useful information.

I highly recommend it to any Canon user!

I'm a subscriber since Issue Three, and have issues 0, 1 and 2 bought from my local WH Smiths, so I guess I've got the lot!

Like the mag a lot: it's the only tog mag I subscribe to. Some of the info is pitched more at the newbie level than suits me, and there's not a lot that really stretches me, but I've learned a couple of neat tricks and hope to learn a lot more as the mag matures.

Obviously they have to pitch it to suit a fairly wide audience, as they have already limited their target to just Canon D-SLR-owners, so I'm not complaining about the newbie bits: just commenting.

Looks like a nice magazine, but its pricey! Is it worth the money?

I would recommend it to any users of Photoshop CS or Elements. But they very rarely include anything at all on other PP software. And more than half of the mag is about post-processing, which makes it worth less than half its cover price to me.
