Both photos aren't very good. You're obviously shooting through a fence on the first one and it distracts from the picture. The light post is right in the way, too. The second picture is very noisy and blurry. I'm sure this was taken from a pretty good distance, but it's poor composition. Is there another spot at the airport that you could sit and catch approaching, departing or taxing aircraft?

Excellent news. I have been lucky enough to get a few landing and takeoff shots of the first one as it passes through Sydney airport.

I'll keep an eye out for this one, too. (I'll just shoot until I notice a different registration ;) )

You are right.

plus it was near the opening dates of the new and posh terminal 3.

But real reason i was out on a witch hunt was becoz of this

I thought this will only happened to the likes to Air Asia (a malaysia based budget carrier with such 2 records, since I remembered).

...but our Singapore Airlines A380 - the whale ?

Yes, I wished I had my 100-400mm L-IS with me.

But on a PnS camera (SX100IS) at 10X optical + 2X digital. this is as close as I can get.....

yeah. but when you are on a bicycle 25 km away from your station & under 33degC heat......it is no joke...

No need to apologize, no offence taken anyway :-)

I love how your A380 spotting photos look like something out of an espionage movie. Very appropriate.
