Thanks again to everyone who offered advice, I thought I'd show a few results from the show. Feel free to let me know what you think.
All in all, it was really fun and I was able to make a connection there who invited me to shoot Sammy Hagar with him so I count that as a bonus!
On to the pics:

I liek #1, 2 and 5. #7 would have been nice if the guy in the BG weren't there.
Some of them are framed too close for my tastes.
Don't like the watermark :p

1, 2, 7, for me... Looks like Rene' likes them too... And I agree with Rene' regarding the framing, background and watermark...

thanks Rene. Zenfolio watermarks all my images but it's easy to upload them here if I use that site so I didn't remove the wm, sorry and agreed. Cropping was done in the interest of eliminating a rather weak background but again, I agree that I would have loved to have been able to shoot a bit wider to get a sense of the venue if it were worth seeing.
You are the color guru...how do those look to you?

The last 3 and 3 are my favs. I like the tight crop, like anything it can be overdone. Mainly that's why I picked what I did. Good job man!
Thanks once again for the insert. I love it the padding works in my bag. While the insert itself was too big, the dividers are awesome!

First a bit magenta, a few others a bit red maybe (but that's a matter of taste or excited performers maybe)
IMO performing arts images need to be pleasing, not necessarily neutral or accurate ;)

guess what? I found another two dividers to go in there. I'll get em in the mail to you asap. Thanks for the comments too man. I gotta say, it was really fun to shoot. btw, believe it or not, those WEREN'T cropped, just shot really tight, I was able to be that close which made life much simpler.

^That's what I meant. I should have said tight though. But ok, thanks on the dividers. I'm actually considering getting a Nanue Pro bag. I'm likin' the Lima.

Outstanding job for a first gig. I really like the framing in #5 - top class stuff!

very nice atmosphere captured here. more than other i like #2(my fav!) and #7. they might be converted to match "indie" feeling. i see no meaning of color here.
thanks for sharing.
