I want to put my pics online & was hoping some of you guys could recommend a decent UK site. I would want it to be professional looking & also have a facility enabling visitors to order prints of my pictures.
Thanks in advance.

how much are you willing to spend is the question? are you just wanting a free one or are you looking to make this a business sorta thing?

No it's not for business, well not yet anyway! I'm willing to pay monthly or yearly for the service. I've been looking at what other members use here & 'Fotopic.net' seems a popular choice?

does it really have to be a UK host?
I use smugmug myself and it works great, it's fast, a lot of functions and best of all, UNLIMITED storage for your photos, and it only cost $29.99 a year for basic users.
If you're interested, I can send you a coupon which will save you $5, not a lot, i know :D

Thanks for that offer sGu! I did look at your site a couple of days a go & was most impressed. The only thing that stop's me going to smugmug is that if say my Auntie Jean wanted to order some prints of her 70th birthday she'd find all the prices in $'s. I'd like that facility for friends & family to order prints straight from my gallery, but if poss in GBP's.
I've just tried out 'fotopic' & that seems pretty good although there is a 250mb limit of which you have to pay for more space.
Thanks for your advice,
Paul.

Hiya
What about ofoto? They have both a US and a UK site.
www.ofoto.co.uk
www.ofoto.com.
Theres also www.photobox.co.uk
Not sure what the limits etc are of uploading or exactly what you are looking for but might be worth checking out.

There is a Sticky thread in Share which lists photo-hosting sites. It might not answer your question about purchases but it's a good list and worth checking.

If you wanna try printing service, i recommend photobox.co.uk or pixmania.com, they give you limited space(250mb free) to host images also provide the service for prints, and their price is very acceptable, £0.19 for a 4x6, i've used both, and prefer pixmania's quality.
that way you get free hosting service and quality prints :D
