trying out my new Sigma 70-200 2.8 today and ran into several pelicans diving for fish and caught some good shots (for me anyway). The weight of this lens will take some getting used to... very hard to track these guys.

thanks! I actually saw that happen a number of times.... the pelican didn't seem to mind.

mods/admins... it looks like this thread posted twice. I guess the other one can be deleted.

I love the last one!!! I actually woke my wife up from laughing! It looks like the gull is trying to shove the pelican's head under. Very funny. Nice series!

They look like buddies. Maybe the gull scouts for fish then comes down for his share after the dive. :)
