Newer (?) version of file viewer utility-bug?

I recently bought a canon printer that updated the file viewer utility software that i allready had from the 300D.
Now when browsing images in the first window i can open any folder except the 'my pictures' folder.If i try to the program instantly shuts down.
Anybody else experienced similar problems?

Hmm, might have been helpful to have posted the version number, Ron.

My 300D is about 6 weeks old and I got v1.3 with it. No such problems.

BTW, last time I checked the Canon web site the only update I could find was a program called EOS View Utility, which is similar to FV. Try it.

I've bought Canon's new Pixma 4000 printer. Yes, the intallation says that it would install a newer version *wonder*

I usually let the Canon-SW store the images on my pc. Then I switch to other programs like XNVIEW or PS. So I haven't noticed about that.
