s 60 memory card error

This is my first post . I bought this camera yesterday .
got home charged the battery put in the memory card all i get is memory card error tried to format the cf card in the camera but it would not formatt it .I tried this with two new cards with no luck Has any one had this problem with there camera? This really sucks brand new and won't work.

I'd bring the camera back to the dealer. It sound like there's something wrong with the CF card slot (bent pins, etc) on the camera.
