I took this a few blocks from my house... I didn't realize it would be a nice picture spot. I took the same shot in both color and black and white, and I think you'll agree the black and white came out much nicer.

Very cool, I actually like the color one more. The two lights on the left and the one on the right are a tad harsh. It'd be cool if you could get a long exposure with a train coming through and freeze it in the middle, but that could be a long wait!

I think this shot would have looked great at f20 to give those lights more of a star effect.

Ask and you shall receive! I thought I posted this already, but I guess not.

Sweet shots. That one with the Train is great. I like the first color one too.

Nice shots. :-) I really like the first one too.
If you go back you could take a couple of exposures; one for the lights and one for the foreground etc, then do a composite image in Photoshop. It's always awkward achieving a suitable exposure at night with direct light in the frame.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't have nor do I have the money for Photoshop.

Sorry, I presumed you would have got a copy of Photoshop Elements with your camera. Just checked the S5 and see that they don't include that in the bundled software.
