And loving it! Just got it yesterday, took some quick pictures with it (nothing earth shattering, just learning how to use it).

Is my first piece of L-glass, at this rate this hobby is going to get very expensive!! Can't wait to try out some real shots later this week :-D

The lens is MUCH lighter than I had imagined, seeing it in pictures. The autofocus is wickedly fast, and it's built like a tank (at least compared to my other lenses).

I think Canon prices this lens so inexpensively so that it becomes a gateway drug, err lens towards the other more expensive L lenses. Must...resist!

The "saving" part is the hardest of this :wink:. New baby on the way, and just bought a new home as well.

Must .... resist .... temptations. But seriously, I'm pretty happy with my setup now. I've been working 6-7 days a week to get this game out by Thanksgiving (US), and it's leaving no time for photography unfortunately.
