editing the title of a thread

so if i go to edit and then to advanced edit, i can change the title of the first post, but it does not change the title of the thread in the section index. is there a way around this or is it just the way it is?

That is just the way it is. The trick is to use the report post button and explain the situation so a Mod can edit the title.

i am trying post three night's worth of pictures into one thread instead of creating three different threads. the first post has been updated with the correct title and i will add the last night this weekend.

so i need to start a new thread? i normally do one thread per night, but thought all three nights in one would cut back on number of threads. i will just start a new one for the last night. thanks.
