Woah back up. Stop the presses. Hold the phones. You are telling us that you have a 1Ds mkIII and you dont know how to use it? Why would you spend that kinda cash on a Pro level dslr (best one avaliable atm) if you didnt know how to use it. I tell you what. I will go buy an XTI tomorrow and will even trade it to you for the 1ds MKIII. The xti will suit your needs just fine.

Guys...sorry I didn't come back...I had a couple of shoots and didn't have time to respond. I got the Mark III as a Christmas gift from my husband. I have been shooting Nikon for a long time. So to say I didn't know how to use it, was somewhat of an understatement. I mean I do know about WB, ISO, Shutter, Apeture...etc...but when you've been shooting one camera for so long it becomes an extension of your being. You know where to adjust if you need to. In my case I have to look down and figure it out. For example if you go driving, and you want to turn left you know to click the turn signal bar down...and for right it would be up...well that's what I mean. So right now I feel a little lost. It's a great camera...and I'm sure I'll learn...but right now I'm a gal...who doesn't learn new tricks easily. Know what I mean? Probably bad analogy...but it was all I could think of right now.
Thanks for all the warm welcomes.

Welcome. What Nikon were you using? Sounds like you're more advanced than me, but I started with an XT, went to the D80, then back to Canon with the 30D. It does take some getting used to... but you'll soon get used to it I'm sure. Would love to see some of your images. What types of shooting do you do anyway? There are appropriate forums here for just about everything. Have fun! ;)
Forgot to mention. Don't go to the lens forum if you know what's good for you. You'll wind up broke and very confused, lol.

i was going to say to just stay away from the certian sections - or all sections of the forum unless you dont mind your wallet/purse getting lighter by the second but seems you already have that problem haha

I shoot whatever people pay me to shoot. Really I do.
I started shooting baseball , then football, then seniors, then boyscouts, then family portraits. I'm a jack-of-all-trade...! I have shot weddings but I try and steer clear of those. They're great money makers, but I don't like the post-processing.
Not sure if I like the Canon yet...I'll have to wait and see. I was shooting Nikon D200...I still have it, and will probably keep it as my backup.

Wait till you do some nice excessive editorial/portraiture shoots with the camera, I'm sure you'll love it.
