How do I put metadata in here? Oh well, it was a 50mm @ 1.4 with a flash bouncing off a wall next to her.
Thanks!

more dof is a must.. the right eye doesnt seem focused colours seem nice.. also try taking it further back from the subject.. will help with dof and you wont miss the top of her head ;) the left eye looks great though.. lovely colours

It looks like her nose is popping out of the picture.

I think that perspective is off and DOF too narrow, not that a lot more is needed just some. I am no expert though.

Ya, I was thinking that the narrow DoF would help emphasize the eyes. Generally, should I keep most of the head in focus?

I'd like to see this in 2.8 or even 4...

If only the closest eye were the sharpest one. I really like the shallow DoF just wish the close eye her left eye was the sharp one. A rule I usually follow when it come to shallow DoF and one only one eye is sharp it usually should be the closest eye to camera. Still very nice image...

As a portrait, it just doesn't work.
This subject has a wonderful face. It looks like you blurred to eliminate the freckles.
They are great, they just need to be softened, like any other female face.
Try a soft focus lens or some filter when you're shooting. A cross screen filter or a stocking work great.
Try it out.
I don't know what lens you used, looks a little wide to me, that's why the nose is prominent. Try a longer focal length, more distance from the subject will cure some of the corrections you'll make the next time you get to work with this model.
Lighting is ok, maybe a little flat.

I always said freckles should never be blurred , they look awesome when clear in a picture..

The reason I like it is to me this image is about the eyes. They are so strong and made even stronger by the fact nothing is competing with them. You get the feel of freckles but they of nothing else distract you from those eyes.

For the most part, it's the DoF blurring them. I tried to smooth the skin without harming the freckles (I love her freckles) but that would seem like an impossible task
