Hi all
Hope you are not tired of seeing shots of the Great Northern Diver (Common Loon). As some of you know I spent a lot of time last summer photographing this species and I'm still working on those shots. Please feel free to comment (C&C).

Very impressive series! The first and last shot really capture the details of their eye...razor sharp and well done. I love the water droplets rolling off the beak in the final capture. Your colour rendition is very "true" as well which is quite difficult with this subject...especially the subtle green of the neck. Its just such a beautiful bird and you do it Justice here. Exceptionally well done.

Fantastic images, Sindri. The low perspective is great. It looks like you were just inches above the water. The images are all very sharp. The color is perfect particularly the handling of the whites. Superb job, Sindri.
And i love the image with the chick on the back. :D

Excellent series as usual. I loved #4 it reminded me of a fisherman telling how big the fish was that got away. Also the one with the little one is excellent.

I spent days on these and I was in the water for hours and tried to go as low as I could without getting the gear wet. In the end I think it paid off. :-)

No I only used waders. ;-)

Wow this is a top shelf series of shots. Each and every shot can stand on it's own as they are simply fantastic. The shot with the chick is just fantastic. Definitly worth the hours in the water. Excellent work Sindri!

Lovely images Sindri! I am just to far south to ever get any images of these birds in breeding colors. Guess I am going to have to come up there and visit you some day, always wanted to travel the ring road on with the cameras on the bike anyway.

Wonderful images, Sindri. So sharp and such great behavior shots. My favorites are #1, the great head shot, and #5 with the chick on it's back. Love the full profile and the low angle of the shot. Hard to believe your camera and lens stayed dry for that one.
