The lower half of a persons leg is really good for making your opponent move to where you want. I pulled ligiments in my ankle to many times because of this..... lol:lol:

Wow, these are awesome! Thanks for sharing these.
Question- Did you have the 530 on high speed sync? Thanks.

Thanks for the nice comments, guys.
drandtus, I did not use the high speed sync because it seems like it really lessens the range of the flash. I was shooting entirely at 1/250 and usually around f5.0 or close to that.
I was trying to remember the things that Dennis and Scott were saying in another thread but as usual when the action starts I forget all the things I want to work on and get better at. Dennis was talking about putting the flash in manual at a reduced power and adusting the aperture depending on how far away the wrestlers were but once the meet started I decided not to try that until I can experiment beforehand.
One thing I was having trouble with was the flash recycle time. I put in fresh batteries at the start, but I missed several shots I think could have been real good because I was waiting for the flash to recycle. I tried dropping my FEC to see if the reduced amount of flash would help but it didn't seem to.
Scott, if you happen to read this, what is the recycle time on the setup you used the other night??

Thanks, Wes. I thought maybe you were using HSS, because you were at 1/250. I think my XT only syncs up to 1/200.
I have been reducing the flash and was able to close the aperature a hair ( Dennis and Scott's suggest.). It's helping.

you know wes, I'm not sure. at 1/4 power, I know I can practically fire off 2-3 shots with decent light (as in the 2nd and 3rd are salvageable with a little pp)
