Holy crap! I just got some unexpected great news!

Checked my voicemail earlier and had a message from a guy who is the editor of an ATV magazine. He spoke with another guy who was there doing an event at the place where I go shoot on the weekends. That guy had given him my contact info and showed him some of the pics I'd taken from there. So I gave him a call and we talked for a bit.

The editor guy said that their photographers that they'd sent over had problems getting decently exposed shots and wondered if I had any that I would be interested in selling them. I uploaded a couple folders worth and sent him the link. He called me back raving about them and asked if I'd be interested in being their photographer for this area...of course I said hell yeah. Then he says "great, our standard pay is $500 for covering an event and $25 extra for each picture we actually use." He then proceeded to tell me they were going to do a spread on the place either this month or the next and they planned on using at least 8 pictures. S-C-O-R-E

I got it new from a guy on eBay about 2 years ago and paid around $75 USD shipped from the UK I believe. That sound about right?

ATV Action. That totally makes my day that it's a magazine at least one person has heard of! Can't say I've ever looked at an ATV mag so I didn't know if it was a popular one or one that like 9 guys who live in their parents' basements read!!

When they had the big event here a while back there were some guys from DirtWheels here, I talked to them for a long time one of the evenings getting tips, tricks, etc.

I live in WV...right in the heart of the Hatfield-McCoy trail. Ever been out here to ride it? At the race park where I shoot there are cars/trucks/trailers from at least 30 states every single weekend. Starting next spring we'll be the only place that offers all inclusive camping/transport to-from trail/food/bar/race park/etc. If you ever make it out gimmie a shout and I'll show you around!

Not sure what hot air balloon event was going on. Between working at the hospital and trying to cover the ATV stuff I haven't kept up with what else is going on. I do plan to go over to Bridge Day in a couple weeks though and doing some shooting. Ever been?
