Ok I got my 20D and was told by B&H that my Sigma 28 to 105 2.8 would work just fine on the new Camera. I took flash shots, hand held shot, tripod mounted shots, I use parameter 1 - 2 - Set 1+-2+ and unsharped masked it to death, a total blur.
So I went into New york with Camera in hand to see if another lens would do the job. I got a salesman who seemed to be with knowledge and we changed four differrent lenses and still a blur. He got his 20D and it was sharper then mine, darn (and thats not what I want to say) I got a bad one. I questioned the way he did a test and he was upset after all he has been doing this a long time.
Well homeward bound I went head in hand *#@##**. I called Canon and they were very nice but no solution expecpt to send a 3 day old camera for repair.
Well being the nut I am I went to my local Camera store and told them of my woe and he said maybe you have to use a lens made for digital Cameras. I said shouldn't have to, so he brought out a Tamron 28 to 75mm 2.8 constant lens, we put it on the camera and pow I got shots that you could keep without using unsharp mask.
I then tried a non digital Canon 70 to 300 IS zoom and except for my 65 year old shake rattle and roll I got good pictures, hey Canon I fixed the 20D.
Anyway the jist of it is the 20D likes some lenses and not others, so before you throw it in the garbage check these shots out.
I took three shots with the Tamron.
Shot I Parameter 1 adjust Contrast/Sharpness/Saturation by 1 notch.
Shot 2 Parameter 2 adjust nothing and you can see the more subdued color.
Shot three - Set 1 sharpness adjuste 1 notch

I hope this helps those on the fence about buying this Camera. It's awsome and I can't wait to use it for real.
By the way I contacted Sigma and they said they will redue the lenses for nothing.
