HELP NEEDED! Stand-Boom

maybe it sounds strange but i cant find a boom in my area and i have an idea - i could use one of my stands as a boom. i need proper mounting. my lightstand diameter - 3,5 cm. how is that mount called in english to make a search at bh?

A boom clamp is what you want in English.
I think you may have a speaker stand given its large diameter (3cm)? Or a hefty lightstand :D

thank you. SkipD posted very detailed shot of that clamp. looks like what i need. ordering stands and booms and stuff like that is very expensive for its shipment. counterweight is not a problem :-)

The boom clamp that you showed at B&H is the one on my setup. I bought it as part of the whole kit (stand, clamp, 9-foot 3-section 35mm diameter boom, and counterweight) but, as you found, the clamp is available by itself.
