Does anyone know if anyone makes a firewire reader like this: http://www.steves-digicams.com/zio.html
Without the cord? I cant find one anywhere..

see how the plug is built into the reader itself? I need this for my ibook, only has usb 1.1, but has firewire. I'd rather not have to deal with more cords.

OK I understand now but don't personally know of such a device; sorry!
(I have one of those old USB 1 things shown in your post, plus a nice CORDED firewire reader)

They are all over the place, very common. Many co.'s make those (sandisk, delkin..etc)

I am well aware they make firewire readers, but if you look at the link above, you will see that one doesnt require a cord, the plug is on the reader itself. I am looking for something like that, but a firewire one.

I'm aware of that briangig. Even those are very common. Heck, some come in the shape of a pen, so you can put it in the shirt pocket.
