View Full Version : Microsoft Raw Viewer Thumbnail Viewer

I have tried to install this viewer several times with no success. I have an XTI and the files are CR2 which is listed in the supported files. None of the thumbnails work and if I try to open in the view it says "Failed to Load". Has anyone else encountered this issue?

it sucked so bad for me, i removed it. kept crashing, took forever to open 150kb jpg, uck.

try picasa from google. i think IRFANVIEW also, i believe they support raw or have a plugin for it.

Use the Canon one.

Mine sucks also. I have a 30D and get the same thing as the OP. I've given up on it.

Give this a try as I'm now able to view my EOS 30D CR2 thumbnail files in WinXP now. Thanks to somethingsimple: click right here (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=438998)

My Windows Raw Viewer is able to see both cr2 and dng files. I don't know why you're getting this problem

you have a 350D, one of the supported file types of microsoft raw thumbnailer

each camera has a unique raw format & more recent cameras' raw formats are not supported by this software, hence the need for the solution linked to in the second to last post (which is purely a thumbnail viewer, not a full-screen viewer combo)
