Hi
a bit of subject here. but i have few auestion about the eye piece extender. I understand that it reduces the fov by 30%! or something like this. does it means that it effectively crops the image in the viewfinder? If yes, is it really worth it?

Petiot: May be I'm misataken, but I thought the extender reduces the VF magnification by that amount (because you're increasing the distance), not the FOV?

Not the fov, it have a lens that give the sensation of a "more distant" and also smaller screen, tooooo smaller :(
You can remove the lens if you like, it's fixed by two screw.

I bought one of these but found the viewfinder MUCH too small.
Did a part exchange on if for a lens hood.....

Seriously, on one condition: If you decide you don't like it you donate it to someone else in need. I bought it to stop getting nose smudges on my LCD panel and to get some eye-relief distance for my glasses - was not mad about the resulting viewfinder image - you may like it. So private mail me with your postal address if you want it - anyone else can avail of the offer after Ant has decided - first come, first served :-)

I use the extender constantly. I shoot paintball on the weekends and with the mask on I couldnt get the camera close enough to see through the eyepiece. The only problem I have with it is that the original eyepiece tends to fall off so I shoot w/out it on.
