Hi guys & gals,

First time posting here, just kind of found this forum. I have a question about date and time stamp on my a710is. I have went through my booklet and searched for answers on how to have it shown on my pictures. Anyone have any hints.

Thanks

If you’re talking about those ugly, red letters whose only purpose is to ruin your photos, you are out of luck: thanks God, that feature does not exist!
However, full EXIF data is imbedded in every picture and it could be easily accessed with any EXIF reader.

Hermeto already answered your question, the information is imbedded in the digital photo, just in a non-destructive way.

To see it all you need is a photo viewing program that also displays exif data.
If you want it printed on the photos then you need a printer that is able to extract the data from the exif and print it on the front.
Some printers can even print the date and time on the back of the photo, so it doesn't look all ugly sitting in the corner.

Or if you put a watermark on your photos you could include the date taken in your watermark. Might make it a little more natural looking.

The simple answer is that no, you can't do it in-camera, and yes, you can do it later with software.
