Reading this thread here (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=434152) I noticed some fiery responses to what essentially would be a graphics design subforum. The reason I am somewhat bringing this up/creating this is because I feel that there would be enough interest, it is close enough to photography, and I personally know there are a few graphics designers and web designers on here.
Now, before you get angry and tell me that this is a photography forum, let me point out a few things.
1. Most forums, even ones that are very specific, have some "off topic" forums that somewhat relate to the purpose of the forum. Example: lots of games forums have graphics subforums or computer/programming subforums because a lot of people who go on these forums like to make "signatures" that go below their name, or other graphics design, as well as learn to program.
2. A lot of graphics design uses photography, and this subforum would also be for heavily modded photos that originally came from a photograph but were very edited.
3. Lots of photographers at least try to design their own sites. Others are semi pro or professional web designers as well. This would be a great place for people to a) post their designs and reciever criticism and b) ask for help with their site or with a coding question, etc. All this would be in one forum so I think that with the combination of all these things there would be enough interest.
If Pekka wants to keep these boards strictly photography, that is fine. But we already have people asking a lot of website questions in RAW/Post Processing and someone already asked for a "manipulated photos" subforum, so I think with all these things together there would be enough interest, and all these things are related to photography.
