From Lancaster, Ohio airshow in 2006. Small airport but they put on a nice airshow. CC welcome

Very, very nice pair of shots. Exposure is ded nutz and they're super sharp.

My only thought is that #1 needs a slight crop to put more space in front of the plane instead of behind. It gives the plane "somewhere to go."

I'll have to look, but that may be an upcropped one, so it may not be able to have 'somewhere to go'

Thanks though :)

Well, add it to the mental file cabinet for next time. That's why were all here, to learn from each other and improve.

Again, good shots!

I guess it could be a good PS practice.. I should try to add some room..

It's the same problem I have when I skeet shoot... Forget to follow thru and almost, or sometimes do, miss the shot..

For sure will add it to my 'remember to try to do' list.

The norm is to "stop and take a photo" so the notion of following through while panning with something isn't second nature. The best way to leave the space in front is to just lead your subject a little bit then you don't need to crop at all.

Same as skeet shooting...PULL!

Those shots are really sharp, perfect, what lens were you using?

Must have something set up wrong since the exif didnt show up. That would be the Bigma 50-500. 1st one at 266mm 2nd at 314mm..

dburg30 - you don't have "IMAGE EDITING OK" in your title.
I see you are a new member so I'll risk it in the hope that you were not aware that you need to add that so people can do what I'm doing.
(You indicated you would like to try adding the area in front of the plane..)
This took about 1 minute!
Let me know if you want details how to do it that fast. (or you want me to remove this pic )

Nice pics by the way.

10 out of 10, and it happens to be the best looking prop job ever built... Sorry spitfire lovers but the Muzzy edges it.

Beautiful shots of a magnificent aircraft. I just love the roar of that Merlin engine. I agree about #1 though, give the frame more lead in front of the plane. Thanks for sharing.
