I know what I was trying to achieve here, but I'm not sure if it may be as obvious to the casual observer. So, C&C is welcome.

Cool.
Air traffic controller at work. That simple or more to it?

That's pretty much it. The radar display inverted and overlayed was meant to give the impression of being "inside" the display, looking out. Anyone who's seen "Pushing Tin", and remembers a sequence early on in the movie when we see John Cusack's character from just that point-of-view might have a better idea of what I was after.
Failing that, "cool" will do just fine, thanks.

I do remember the runway stunt :) , can't remember the actual scene you were recreating. I'll check it next time I watch it (now that you reminded me of a great movie.)
Did not intend to belittle the pic , just making sure I was not missing the inside joke ( info on the display may have had some meaning to someone in the know)
So know I know there was nothing deeper , I think you achieved your goal.
The eyes look really sharp.

Like it a lot, and I also liked your previous photos. It looks like it has has good balance and exposure and great detail for me. Very imaginative. Nice to see what Air Trafficers really look like!!!!

Thanks for all the positive comments, folks. I really appreciate them.
Tomd, still giggling. Although the bloke in the picture will freely admit that he's beyond the help of even a surgeon's knife. And he uses a Sony Alpha....
